Multiple studies confirm what we have long known to be true: conservatives are far more honest than liberals. Liberals lie more, they cheat more, they steal more, they bear false witness more.
We consider this a dog bites man story, but the results are overwhelming:
[T]here is a striking gap between the manner in which liberals and conservatives address the issue of honesty.
Consider these results:
Is it OK to cheat on your taxes? A total of 57 percent of those who described themselves as “very liberal” said yes in response to the World Values Survey, compared with only 20 percent of those who are “very conservative.” When Pew Research asked whether it was “morally wrong” to cheat Uncle Sam, 86 percent of conservatives agreed, compared with only 68 percent of liberals.
Ponder this scenario, offered by the National Cultural Values Survey: “You lose your job. Your friend’s company is looking for someone to do temporary work. They are willing to pay the person in cash to avoid taxes and allow the person to still collect unemployment. What would you do?”
Almost half, or 49 percent, of self-described progressives would go along with the scheme, but only 21 percent of conservatives said they would.
When the World Values Survey asked a similar question, the results were largely the same: Those who were very liberal were much more likely to say it was all right to get welfare benefits you didn’t deserve.
The World Values Survey found that those on the left were also much more likely to say it is OK to buy goods that you know are stolen. Studies have also found that those on the left were more likely to say it was OK to drink a can of soda in a store without paying for it and to avoid the truth while negotiating the price of a car.
Another survey by Barna Research found that political liberals were two and a half times more likely to say that they illegally download or trade music for free on the Internet…
And that’s just the beginning. The column goes on from there with many more similar results. Read the full article here. And I think the author is correct that it is liberalism itself that causes liberals to have such a deficiency in honesty. Being told truth is relative has consequences. Being told you are entitled to things that arent yours has consequences. Bad ideas beget bad behavior.
After the ceaseless barrage of lies and false accusations from liberals for the past 7 years, it’s particularly refreshing and welcome to have objective proof of just how much more dishonest they really are.

Reports from the Pentagon, CIA, the British, and corroborated by independent terrorism experts conclude that the United States military, under General David Petraeus and President Bush is winning the war on terror, and winning big:
Al Qaeda virtually defeated in Iraq, Saudi Arabia:
Less than a year after his agency warned of new threats from a resurgent al-Qaeda, CIA Director Michael V. Hayden now portrays the terrorist movement as essentially defeated in Iraq and Saudi Arabia and on the defensive throughout much of the rest of the world, including in its presumed haven along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
In a strikingly upbeat assessment, the CIA chief cited major gains against al-Qaeda’s allies in the Middle East and an increasingly successful campaign to destabilize the group’s core leadership. [read more]
Taliban in Afghanistan on brink of defeat:
Missions by special forces and air strikes by unmanned drones have “decapitated” the Taliban and brought the war in Afghanistan to a “tipping point”, the commander of British forces has said.
The new “precise, surgical” tactics have killed scores of insurgent leaders and made it extremely difficult for Pakistan-based Taliban leaders to prosecute the campaign, according to Brig Mark Carleton-Smith.
In the past two years an estimated 7,000 Taliban have been killed, the majority in southern and eastern Afghanistan. But it is the “very effective targeted decapitation operations” that have removed “several echelons of commanders”. This in turn has left the insurgents on the brink of defeat, the head of Task Force Helmand said. [read more]
US Troop Deaths in Iraq at All Time Low:
BAGHDAD, June 1 (Reuters) – U.S. troop deaths in Iraq fell to their lowest level last month since the 2003 invasion and officials said on Sunday improved security also helped the country boost oil production in May to a post-war high. [read more]
US-Backed Government and Army May be Winning the War:
THERE’S BEEN a relative lull in news coverage and debate about Iraq in recent weeks — which is odd, because May could turn out to have been one of the most important months of the war. While Washington’s attention has been fixed elsewhere, military analysts have watched with astonishment as the Iraqi government and army have gained control for the first time of the port city of Basra and the sprawling Baghdad neighborhood of Sadr City, routing the Shiite militias that have ruled them for years and sending key militants scurrying to Iran. At the same time, Iraqi and U.S. forces have pushed forward with a long-promised offensive in Mosul, the last urban refuge of al-Qaeda. So many of its leaders have now been captured or killed that U.S. Ambassador Ryan C. Crocker, renowned for his cautious assessments, said that the terrorists have “never been closer to defeat than they are now.”
Iraq passed a turning point last fall when the U.S. counterinsurgency campaign launched in early 2007 produced a dramatic drop in violence and quelled the incipient sectarian war between Sunnis and Shiites. Now, another tipping point may be near, one that sees the Iraqi government and army restoring order in almost all of the country, dispersing both rival militias and the Iranian-trained “special groups” that have used them as cover to wage war against Americans. Bin Laden, Al Qaeda Losing Support Among Muslims:
Important Muslim thinkers, including some on whom bin Laden depended for support, have rejected his vision of jihad. Once sympathetic publics in the Middle East and South Asia are growing disillusioned. As CIA Director Michael Hayden said last week, “Fundamentally, no one really liked Al Qaeda’s vision of the future.” At the same time, and potentially much more important over the long run, a new vision of Islam, neither bin Laden’s nor that of the traditionalists who preceded him, is taking shape. Momentum is building within the Muslim world to re-examine what had seemed immutable tenets of the faith, to challenge what had been taken as literal truths and to open wide the doors of interpretation (ijtihad) that some schools of Islam tried to close centuries ago. Let’s be sure to give credit where credit is due. This is all due to the hard work of our military men and women, to the strategy of General Petraeus and military leadership, and to the vision and steadfast leadership of President Bush, his administration, Republicans and the independant Joe Lieberman. Let’s also be clear, because President Bush will never say it, but this success is also very much despite the Democrats and their ceaseless efforts to sabotage the Commander in Chief and the war effort itself for political gain.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad predicted on Monday that Muslims would uproot “satanic powers” and repeated his controversial belief that Israel will soon disappear, the Mehr news agency reported. “I must announce that the Zionist regime (Israel), with a 60-year record of genocide, plunder, invasion and betrayal is about to die and will soon be erased from the geographical scene,” he said.
“Today, the time for the fall of the satanic power of the United States has come and the countdown to the annihilation of the emperor of power and wealth has started.”
Since taking the presidency in August 2005, Ahmadinejad has repeatedly provoked international outrage by predicting Israel is doomed to disappear.
“I tell you that with the unity and awareness of all the Islamic countries all the satanic powers will soon be destroyed,” he said to a group of foreign visitors ahead of the 19th anniversary of the death of revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
Yes, by all means Senator Obama, legitimize this crackpot terrorist by offering him unconditional meetings with the leader of the free world. Brilliant!
Barack Obama — useful idiot.
Meanwhile, John McCain absolutely slammed Obama on Iran in front of AIPAC:
“It’s hard to see what such a summit with President (Mahmoud) Ahmadinejad would actually gain, except an earful of anti-Semitic rants, and a worldwide audience for a man who denies one Holocaust and talks before frenzied crowds about starting another,” McCain told the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
He criticized Obama for seeming to suggest that Iran is trying to develop a nuclear program because the U.S. refuses to engage in presidential-level talks. McCain said the Clinton administration in particular tried to engage Iran for two years, even lifting some sanctions, to no avail.
“Even so, we hear talk of a meeting with the Iranian leadership offered up as if it were some sudden inspiration, a bold new idea that somehow nobody has ever thought of before,” McCain said as dozens in the audience laughed.

Hillary has beaten Barack Obama in yet another landslide victory. This time in Puerto Rico, where the former first lady beat the upstart senator from Illinois by a two-to-one margin. Coming on the heels of other decisive victories, including Indiana and a shellacking in Kentucky and West Virginia, and with Obama’s victories getting fewer and farther between, you would think someone would stand up and say, wait a minute! This ain’t over!
You would think.
Yet the Democrat elite machine is determined to deliver the nomination to Obama. The narrative is set. This weekend’s rules committee debacle determined that voters from Michigan and Florida would only count as half a person, and conjured a slate of Michigan delegates for Obama out of thin air towards just that end. You see, if Democrats count the votes in those states, and count them equally, Obama’s lead falls into question.
So much for counting all the votes. For that matter, so much for democracy in the Democrat party. Democrats fervently believe the people are too stupid to be trusted with decisions like these. That’s why Democrats concocted super-delegates to begin with.
For all intents and purposes, the Democrat nomination was decided this weekend by the rules committee, regardless of who is winning or eventually wins the popular vote.
In related news, showing he knows on which side his bon bon is buttered, Ricky Martin came out, so to speak, in support of Hillary, endorsing her just prior to Puerto Rico’s primary.
What a weekend!

Well, unfortunately, no.
I was hopeful when I saw the headline, “Obama Quits Trinity United Church of Christ.”
I thought, Finally! after 20 years of sitting in the pews, listening to the hate, racism, anti-Americanism and antisemitism spewed by the Wrong Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Wrong Reverend Michael Pfleger and others — after 20 years of a congregation cheering the damnation of America, cheering as their pastors blamed America for everything from 9/11 to AIDS — that finally Barack Obama realized that he could no longer condone such hate and lies with his continued membership.
But, I was wrong.
Yes, he finally quit his church, but he made very clear it wasn’t because he was denouncing the church or their hate, anti-Americanism, racism or antisemitism, but to protect them…
“I’m not denouncing the church and I’m not interested in people who want me to denounce the church,” he said, adding that the new pastor at Trinity and “the church have been suffering from the attention my campaign has focused on them.”
And this is the man who claims it is his judgment that qualifies him to be President of the United States?
If you had good judgment, senator, you would have stood up and walked out of that church as soon as you had heard the kind of bile they preach and as soon as you had seen the congregation raucously applauding it. If you had good judgment, sir, you wouldn’t have been married by Reverend Wright, your children would not have been baptized by that racist, nor would you allow them anywhere near his hateful, dishonest teachings. If you had good judgment, Mr. Obama, Rev. Wright wouldn’t have been your “spiritual guide,” nor your mentor, and you certainly wouldn’t have made him a campaign adviser because you would have denounced him long ago.
If you had good judgment, sir, you would realize there is a great deal to denounce about Trinity United Church of Christ.
The truth is, senator, you have horrible judgment.
