As libertarians often say, “We don’t want certain people to have a bigger piece of the pie. We want everyone to have his own pie and to make it as big as he is able to.”

You are so right about economic mobility. That’s why most middle class people don’t engage in class envy. Most of them are on the way up and hope to be “the rich” someday.
