Keith Loutit is a master of a photographic technique called tilt-shift miniature faking. It makes real things look like photos of scale models. By carefully distorting the focus of his photos, he is able to simulate a shallow depth of field. It makes the real scene look small and model-like.

Here, he couples his skills with time-lapse photography. Everything you see is real.
