Yes, that’s really what they said, and yes, that’s really what liberals think. The entire article is an exercise in sloppy thinking, ignorance and dishonesty. Mr. Thomas would have you believe, for example, that our national debt to China is due to your credit card purchases at the mall. For a group that ostensibly abhors torture, “progressives” certainly love to torture logic to death!

Comment by Mark Baird March 1, 2010 @ 8:06 pmActually Mark, Democrats were in control of both houses of congress, and thus responsible for writing all laws and all budgets as well as controlling all the purse strings since a whole year before the recession even began, and TWO years before the financial crisis even struck. President Bush and Republicans tried over 25 times to pass reforms to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that would have prevented the crisis, but Democrats blocked those attempts at every turn to protect the socialist programs that are the real cause of this economic crisis. Moreover, according to the CBO, Republican budgets were on track to have the budget balanced by 2010, and enterering into surplus after that. IN fact the economy continued growing after Republicans lost control of congress for a full 12 months before the weight of Democrat policies, promised tax increases and promised economy-killing policy dragged it into recession.
Please dont think you can use this blog to spread misinformation and lies. We have the facts.
