I did live once in a suburb of Miami, on a canal with alligators. Even used to go swimming in a river with them in the Everglades. They tended not to bother humans unless they saw a human as a threat to their brood. But crocodiles are a different matter. Here&#039;s a mid-size one eating a warthog:
