		<description><![CDATA[I think because they have anchored and based their identities to a narrative and a check list of things they must adhere to to be &#039;better&#039; people, rather to an,internal integral, moral fiber. 

The checklist that gives them a sense of belonging.  Collectivism, makes them feel secure, and more in control --Individualism is a scary thing.This same friend admitted once she needs to remind herself of those ideals to be a better person. When there&#039;s a moral dilemma, you can see the conflict, and almost fear at play in them. 

They seldom allow an epiphany, Instead they rationalize, or deny, back into their comfort zone. 

Their houses are built on sand.
