This has been a day poorly spent.  I’ve been battling computer problems all day, and as soon as I think I’ve fixed one thing, I discover that some other needed icon or toolbar has disappeared. I’ve been having multiple crashes every day, and it’s become really bad. but never mind. That’s one thing I’m sure you don’t want to hear about. Just offering an explanation for my absence..

Stop pulling on your hair, take a deep breath, put down the baseball bat, and step away from the computer. Just remember, despite everything people may be telling you, your computer IS doing this on purpose. I would just tell your computer that there is always a demand for boat anchors. And doorstops.

And good luck!

Thanks Lon. Excellent advice.

Lon is right. Programmers started inserting random “frustration incidents” into computer chips after the Y2000 bug fizzled.

Good luck!

I remember back when my workplace got their first computers. If you hit a totally unexpected multiple keys, you got an introduction to the programmer and his family, which I did. I’ve restored Firefox back to it’s initial installation, which has done some other interesting things that have to be fixed, but so far it hasn’t crashed once. It has frozen up twice, so I don’t know if that’s progress or not.
