Just in time for Christmas, and exclusively available from American Elephants, the original, official, iconic, 1980 “Reagan for President” primary-election campaign logo, AND the official, 1980 “The Time is Now. Reagan & Bush” general-election campaign logo t-shirts. (Coming very soon in buttons, bumper stickers and other items. So check back soon!)
Classic, iconic, historical gifts ANY Reagan fan would love to receive!
These official 1980 campaign logos are not available anywhere else! …I checked! I wanted them for myself because they’re a better design than the 1984 campaign logo, they don’t include the year (so they’re timeless) and they’re from the campaign that started it all! …so I reproduced them myself.
Be a part of history! Be a part of the 1980 campaign that launched the Reagan Revolution — the longest period of peace and prosperity in American history. Show your support for the greatest president of the 20th century! Especially now — especially as Obama and the Democrats are doing everything in their power to dismantle all the real progress Reagan made!
And while you’re at our shop, be sure to check out our other designs too!
We hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
Love,
The Elephants

Don’t sit on the beach and watch the wave, BE the wave! Turn our edge into a tsunami!
VOTE! This election is all about getting out the vote. Help do it. Call up Republicans you know, or Republican-leaning independents, and say, “hey, let’s go vote together!”. Particularly if you suspect they might skip going to the polls for any reason. Call up ALL your Republican and Independent friends and ask them if they’ve voted. If they haven’t, offer to drive them to the polls. Or better yet, get in your car and go pick them up. Drag them by the hair if necessary.
Don’t wear anything that could be remotely deemed political to the polls. One woman was turned away from the polls because she was wearing a shirt that said, “Vote the Bible.” Democrat poll watchers will be on hand trying every trick in the book to keep Republicans from casting ballots.
Have your camera phone or cameras with you when you go to the polls. Record any shenanigans you may see, report them to the poll-watchers, AND to True the Vote’s National Election Integrity Hotline at 1-855-444-6100. I thoroughly expect a vast increase in Democrat voter intimidation, fraud, and electioneering tactics. Be ready to record it; you have the right. If you see something illegal or suspect, and no one present will stop it, call the police.
And vote Republican in ALL Senate races. We must take majority control of the Senate if we are to overturn Obamacare! Indeed, vote a straight Republican ticket. This is a transformational election, our country is dangerously close to that tipping point Benjamin Franklin warned us would herald the end of the Republic. We must not only take back control, we must reverse course.
And pray! Mitt Romney must win this election if we are to maintain our Constitutional Republic. God listens!
I think we are going to win tomorrow, and I think we are going to win big, but take nothing for granted. Every vote truly DOES count. So, BE THE WAVE!
Then we’ll celebrate!

Thanks for the link Ace! Welcome Morons!
Even though it’s a commercial for an entirely unrelated product, the visual seems deliciously appropriate. (Plus, it has a good beat and I can dance to it!)
But while everyone is talking about how big Republican victories are going to be, ASSUME NOTHING! Especially if you are in what is usually considered a “blue state”. Reports show that Democrats in blue states are turning out to vote in large numbers, hoping to prevent big Republican gains. Our Washington State Secretary of State for example (one of the only statewide elected Republicans), is predicting record turnout, not just because Republicans are enthused, but because Democrats in this blue state want to be a firewall.
I imagine the same thing is going on in other blue states.
So no matter what you do, DO NOT FAIL to vote. Don’t assume it’s in the bag and that you can skip going to the polls or mailing your ballot in because you’re busy, or because it’s raining and you think your vote isn’t needed. it IS! Indeed, get on the phone and call your friends in blue states, and make sure they vote.
Cynical, crotchety skepticism is your friend!
Republicans not only need to win, but need to win by more than the margin of fraud. And Democrat election fraud is very real. Just ask Dino Rossi, who won the Washington State governor’s race in the first count, the second count, only to have it stolen from him by King County who kept “finding” (read: manufacturing) additional ballots until they had enough for the Democrat to “win”. Same thing happened with Norm Coleman and Al Franken.
Another sobering thought…every vote in states that vote by mail is first handled by unsupervised SEIU Union members before it ever gets to the precinct — postal workers. You know SEIU — Obama’s purple shirted thugs — the ones that have been beating, roughing up and intimidating conservative citizens from coast to coast. The group that has spent millions to elect Democrats. The group that is pushing to get RID of secret ballots in union negotiations so they can intimidate people into voting to unionize.
Makes me feel real safe about vote by mail!
IF you vote by mail, contact your county elections office to verify that your ballot was received and counted. (For example: King County, WA residents can track their ballots here.)
So, no, this election is NOT in the bag. VOTE and call everyone you know, especially your friends and family in states with close elections, and make sure they vote too.
BE the wave!

More than half of the new jobs created in the past 12 months were in Texas.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 214,000 net new jobs were created in the United States from August 2009 to August 2010. Texas created 119,000 jobs during the same period. If every state in the country had performed as well, we’d have created about 1.5 million jobs nationally during the past year, and maybe “stimulus” wouldn’t be such a dirty word.
What does Austin know that Washington doesn’t? At its simplest: Don’t overtax and -spend, keep regulations to a minimum, avoid letting unions and trial lawyers run riot, and display an enormous neon sign saying, “Open for Business.”
“D” is for Depression, “R” is for Recovery.

Yesterday, the DNC hyped that they would have a major announcement today that would excite Democrats nationwide; the implication being that the DNC had something big, something Earth-shattering that would be a game-changer. Perhaps an exciting new poll? or a dirty September surprise? After all, what could possibly excite dispirited, dejected Democrats at this point other than some good electoral news?
So what was this bombshell? Had they finally decided to listen to the American people and change direction? Did they have some new prescription to get America out of the Depression that started a year after they took control of congress and that their policies and promised policies not only caused, but are exacerbating?
Not quite.
No, they’re going to keep right on pushing the same disastrous policies. Their huge game-changing revelation is that they…wait for it… developed a new logo.
Wheeeee! </sarcasm>
Indeed, Democrats are apparently SO enamored with Obama’s car analogy (the one he’s used in campaign speeches lately in which “D” stands for “drive” and “R” stands for “reverse”), that they invested their party identity in it — the new logo clearly evocative of the “drive’ symbol on a car’s gear shift. That is what the left does after all. They don’t change their policies when they have clearly failed — they simply change the name, get a new spokesman, or slap a new logo on it.
Indeed, there’s no better example of that than the Marxist miscreant now occupying the Oval Office. His ideas are as old as they come — command and control, centralized, dictatorial government. Indeed, he himself admitted that his party has been trying to pass socialized healthcare for a hundred years! (The obvious rejoinder to which is that Americans have been rejecting socialized medicine just exactly as long.)
But man, he sure had a sweet logo!
I would remind Obama, Democrats, and the American people, however, that “D” and “R” stand for a lot more than just “drive” and “reverse” — they also stand for words that are much more relevant this crucial election season. After the past four disastrous years of a Democrat-controlled congress, what should be crystal clear to everyone is that ‘D’ is for “Depression” (which is the only place Democrats have driven us), and ‘R’ is for recovery!
(PS: Has anyone else noticed how the Obama logo, all his graphics and now the new Democrat logo eschew the traditional blue of the American flag for United Nations cyan? Maybe it’s unintentional — not likely, but possibly unintentional — but either way, it certainly is appropriate.)

Obama hits new low: 41% approve, 58% disapprove.
64% say country is headed in the wrong direction.
Generic Ballot Average: Republicans 48% Democrats 40%.
68% support smaller government, lower taxes.
Democrats abandoning Obama on tax hikes.
Rubio 43%, Crist 29%, Meeks 23%. (Keep in mind, however, that I fully expect Democrats to abandon Meeks and support Crist if these numbers don’t change soon.)
Virginia Democrat: “If you don’t tie our hands, we’ll keep stealing.”
But don’t get cocky! Get involved! Democrats have a long documented record of convictions of vote fraud, registration fraud, voter intimidation, campaign finance violation, violence, vandalism, lies, ballot box stuffing, October surprises and every other dirty trick in the book. I fully expect this year and 2012 to be worse than ever before.
If we want to undo the damage Democrats have done, we have to win every single race we can at both the federal and state level. And when Democrats are such dirty cheats, that means we have to win BIG. As someone said, “if it isn’t close, they can’t steal it.” And a great many of these races will be close.
If you haven’t been already, now is the time to donate and volunteer for the candidates/party you support.

Pat Caddell was a long-time Democrat pollster and political consultant. He worked for Jimmy Carter, George McGovern, Gary Hart, Joe Biden and Jerry Brown. His analysis on polls and campaign issues has often put him at odds with the current leadership of the Democrat Party; and as he has become more conservative and criticizes Democrats, they like him less.
Democrats don’t like disagreement in the ranks. But Caddell is quite free with his criticism of Republicans as well. The odd thing is that Republicans don’t mind. He is a frequent guest on Fox News, and as he knows his way around politics intimately — he’s very interesting.

Congratulations to Hawaii’s brand new Congressman-elect, Republican Charles Djou. The anti-Democrat wave continues…
Republicans scored a midterm election victory Saturday when Honolulu City Councilman Charles Djou won a Democratic-held House seat in Hawaii in the district where President Obama grew up — the latest triumph for the GOP as it looks to take back control of Congress.
Djou’s victory was a blow to Obama and other Democrats who could not rally around a candidate and find away to win a congressional race that should have been a cakewalk. The seat had been held by a Democrat for nearly 20 years and is located in the district where Obama was born and spent most of his childhood.
“This is a momentous day. We have sent a message to the United States Congress. We have sent a message to the national Democrats. We have sent a message to the machine,” Djou said. “The congressional seat is not owned by one political party. This congressional seat is owned by the people.”
Djou received 67,274 votes, or 39.5 percent. He was trailed by state Senate President Colleen Hanabusa, a Democrat who received 52,445 votes, or 30.8 percent. The other leading Democrat, former U.S. Rep. Ed Case, received 47,012 votes, or 27.6 percent.
Republicans see the victory as a powerful statement about their momentum heading into November. They already sent a Republican to the U.S. Senate to replace the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts — a place that was once thought to be the most hostile of territories for the GOP. Now Republicans can say they won a congressional seat in the former backyard of the president and in a state that gave Obama 72 percent of the vote two years ago. [read more]
Even though the Democrat vote was split between two candidates (your party is really in disarray when you can’t rally behind one candidate or the other), even their combined totals represent a 20 point loss for Democrats in the district.

Republicans? Are you paying attention? New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is holding class — giving lessons in how to govern, how to deal with the press, in short, how to do your jobs. This is exactly what Americans are desperately looking for. Unapologetic, common sense, conservative leadership.
Not pandering. Not equivocation. Leadership.
Every Republican politician in the country should be required to watch this video. I’m sending it to a few myself.

Your health care is at risk, my health care is at risk, the very nature of the relationship between Americans and their government is at risk because power-hungry Democrat cockroaches in Washington DC are making dirty deals in dark backrooms for votes on Obama’s wildly unpopular socialist health-care Trojan Horse.
Rush said today that Obama wouldn’t dare hold a press conference right now because the rank corruption that is going on can only happen in secrecy. He’s right. Cockroaches thrive in the dark. What America desperately needs right now is some sunlight to make these cockroaches scatter!
Unfortunately, minority Republicans aren’t currently in a position to cast much sunlight on Democrats’ corrupt dealings.
But they will be.
After next November’s elections, if Republicans take back control of one of both chambers on Capitol Hill as many predict they will, they will gain subpoena power, control committees, and direct the agenda of at least one chamber of congress.
And that is a powerful weapon that Republicans can and should use to kill this horrendous bill — and they should use it now. Americans already know Pelosi and Obama are bribing Democrats to get them to vote yes on Obamacare. Some of their corrupt dealings have already been exposed. GOP leaders should immediately hold a press conference, citing those corrupt dealings and the sleazy, corrupt manner in which this bill is being passed, and threaten wavering Democrats by promising that if Republicans win next November, they will investigate any and all evidence of corruption, bribery and even the appearance of impropriety surrounding the passage of this unpopular bill. They should threaten to subpoena records, hold hearings if necessary, and promise that they will expose the Democrats involved, punish unethical behavior and prosecute anything illegal.
Democrat fence-sitters will be MUCH more reluctant to make shady deals and accept promises of cushy jobs if they fear their golden parachutes might be made public, get them investigated or land them in jail.
Sunlight is not only the best disinfectant, it also makes cockroaches scatter!
And even the threat of future sunlight may be just what Republicans need to scare enough wavering Democrats to kill this cancerous bill.
I hope you will call and write your Representatives and the Republican leaders and ask them to immediately hold a press conference and publicly promise to cast sunlight on ALL the Democrat’s dirty deals.
