The Death of the “Creative Homosexual” by American Elephant

This would be offensive, as it was obviously intended to be, if it weren’t so childish, cliche and completely unimaginative. (click image for unobscured pic)

Gays Embarass Themselves

Oooh, a religious image portrayed in a sexual manner! Yes, we get it, left wing homos hate Christianity. Excuse me while I yawn!

Other than being a terribly sad testament to their own lives, it’s thoroughly uninspired. It was old when Madonna did it for the 40th time ten years ago.

But what can be expected from people whose lives so revolve around sex that they actually attend sex-themed fairs? It’s tragic really that these people are so wrapped up in their hate and so obsessed with finding meaning in their sexuality, that they lash out at the one thing that offers more true meaning than anything else.

And no doubt, just as when they tried to ram gay-marriage down America’s throat without any consideration for Americans — if Christians react to this mind-numbingly unoriginal poster at all, it will be they who are labeled as divisive and hateful.

How embarrassing.

“In Iran we don’t have homosexuals” by American Elephant

You’ve got to be kidding me, did he really say that? I’m sorry, but listening to the pathetic, dissembling response by Iranian terrorist, Mahmoud Amadinejad, to the in-your-face questions by Columbia University students in New York yesterday, I couldn’t help but be reminded of how another well-known figure might have handled the same situation:

Nathan ThurnAhmadinejad: In Iran we don’t have homosexuals like in your country. In Iran we do not have this phenomenon, I don’t know who has told you that we have it.

Student: Pardon me for saying this, but you seem defensive.

Ahmadinejad: I’m not being defensive! You’re the one who’s being defensive! Why is always the other person who’s being defensive? Have you ever asked yourself that? Why don’t you ask yourself that?

Student: Sir, this photograph was taken in Iran…

Ahmadinejad: I know that! Why wouldn’t I know that? It’s my country, I’m quite aware of that! [ looks at the camera ] Is it me? It’s him, right?

Student: Well, let me finish, this photograph shows two homosexual young Iranian men hanging from the gallows in Tehran…

Ahmadinejad: So, what are you saying?

Student: I’m saying you executed these young men simply because they were homosexual.

Ahmadinejad: Don’t you have capital punishment in the United States? You do too. In Iran there is capital punishment.

The man would be a joke if he weren’t so dangerous. God help the gays that are in Iran.

Daily Kos nuts simply giddy over Ahmadinejad! by Emerald City Elephant

Ahmadinejad

Not everyone objected to the Iranian terrorists appearance yesterday. In fact, as Little Green Footballs points out, it sounds as though “the new mainstream voice of the Democrat party, Daily Kos,” are positively in love:

I know I’m a Jewish lesbian and he’d probably have me killed. But still, the guy speaks some blunt truths about the Bush Administration that make me swoon…

Okay, I admit it. Part of it is that he just looks cuddly. Possibly cuddly enough to turn me straight. I think he kind of looks like Kermit the Frog. Sort of. With smaller eyes. But that’s not all…

I want to be very clear. There are certainly many things about Ahmadinejad that I abhor — locking up dissidents, executing of gay folks, denying the fact of the Holocaust, potentially adding another dangerous nuclear power to the world and, in general, stifling democracy. Even still, I can’t help but be turned on by his frank rhetoric calling out the horrors of the Bush Administration and, for that matter, generations of US foreign policy preceding.

Her feelings are apparently shared by a large percentage of the kosacks, as they call themselves:

More gushing sentiments from the Kos crowd:

No wonder those that are beating the war drums against Iran didn’t want Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to speak any place American might hear him. Thanks to Columbia University and CPAN he was heard by many. He sounds entirely to reasonable. Hearing his own word doesn’t help the cause of demonizing him as a madman and the most recent Hitler. This is someone we definitely should be talking to. so in the interest of promoting peace and knowledge, I present these short excerpts from his talk at Columbia University today.

Naturally, the Daily Kooks are terribly ashamed of how the terrorist was treated. The America-loathing lefties who have taken bile-spewing to henceforth unimagined new lows, suddenly decry the practice:

Why is it that we can’t host him in our country and allow him to be interviewed without having the press sounding even more like agents of the White House than Bush himself (see Sunday’s 60 minutes)? Why can’t our press and for that matter the President of Columbia, ask the hard questions that Iranian President Ahmadinejad needs to answer on his statements and most importantly on the actions of his government without spewing bile?

Ahmadinejab, like Bush, will be judged by the world on his words and actions.

It would have been preferable to demonstrate our free press and independent academia by properly hosting and interviewing him. Ask him the tough questions in a respectful manner and share the facts we have in the areas we are concerned about. He will present himself for what he is. Our citizens and those of the world could have made their own minds up as to which people had the better approach, system and leadership.

I have no doubt that some of his statements would have been seen for what they were: the statements of a politician with an extreme constituency back home. Who does that sound like on the world stage?

What are we afraid of and what are media reporters afraid of if they host a professional interview? All in all I ashamed at how we have comported ourselves and what we have shown ourselves to be.

Again, a BIG hat tip to the folks over at Little Green Footballs who compiled all these posts from different sources, for reading the Daily Kos so that we don’t have to!

And in case you needed a reminder, here are the Democrat presidential candidates sucking-up to the America-loathing stalinists:
