While the United States lost another 11,000 jobs in November, Canada has added 79,100 jobs, five times more than expected. Their jobless rate fell to 8.5 percent from October’s 8.6 percent.

One very interesting source of jobs up north, is a new $90 million SUV plant owned by — General Motors.

While it may be true that Canada added 79,100 and unemployment declined, I urge you to investigate further. I believe that more than half of those jobs (or jobs added recently) were GOVERNMENT JOBS, not new jobs in the private sector. That means more money taken out the pockets of producers through taxation to support even MORE non-producers.

Bad mojo.

See, too.

If you had clicked on the link, you would see that the article says the jobs were in education, manufacturing and finance. Education jobs are clearly government. The statistics also combine full time jobs (38,600)and part time (40,400). Governments always try to make things look as positive as possible. I was more interested in the fact that a lot of the Canadian jobs were in a General Motors plant, on the American taxpayers’ dime. I like Walter Williams too!
