Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi tried valiantly to claim that nasty Republicans were only attacking poor Attorney General Eric Holder because he was attempting to righteously prevent nasty Republicans from keeping poor black Minority members from voting by requiring them to prove to polling officials who they are by showing a picture ID. I don’t know where you could sell that whopper, and have it believed. Perhaps in San Francisco.
We also have learned that panicky Democrats have hauled out Watergate, and attempted to claim that was worse. There were NO dead bodies in Watergate, it was an ill-advised break-in to the opposition’s party headquarters. And that was wrong. But the Watergate scandal was about the attempt to cover it up. There were still NO dead bodies. The Court determined that “Executive Privilege” cannot be used if the assertion is shielding wrongdoing. The DoJ must provide a compelling rationale for each assertion.
Fast and Furious, the gunrunning scandal, depended on dead bodies for success. If the scheme was to work, people had to be killed, and that is indefensible.

Here’s the Big Problem. Does the Government have a Revenue Problem or a Spending Problem? The Obama administration will firmly state that they have a revenue problem. They need more money. Obama believes that all good things come from a government where wise and dedicated people (his administration) can best decide how funds should be appropriated, what those funds should accomplish, and who should get them.
He believes that good ideas come from government, good things are built by government, and good things are done for the people by — government. That’s why they have all those wise and superior people with superior educations in government offices to do a superior job of spending your money. He especially believes that the wealth that exists in society should be distributed more fairly. What was it he said “At some point you have enough money.” Or something like that. Buffet Rule and all that. Warren Buffett doesn’t pay enough taxes and his secretary pays too much. And that will fix what?
Republicans believe that the government spends way too much money, and they don’t spend it well. They waste way too much of it. The country is far better off when people keep more of their own money. People have good ideas, start businesses that no one dreamed of, they hire workers and make an economy grow. Entrepreneurs create jobs, government does not. There are 69 different welfare programs administered by different departments and overseen by different committees that may all do pretty much the same thing, who knows? The poor remain poor.
The Obama administration for 3 12 years has spent lavishly on everything on which they wanted to spend. They have spent the highest amount of any government in world history. They have spent more than all previous administrations put together, and they still want to spend more — on another stimulus and more clean energy. They have a Spending Problem.

The Obama campaign has been complaining that Romney may raise more money than Obama this time around. Obama completed his 150th “campaign event” last week, which is more fund-raisers than those of all recent presidents put together. Aside from that, many campaign trips are anchored by a trip to a manufacturer of solar panels or other manufacturer so that he can call the trip “official business” and the taxpayers get the bill.
They have a wide array of designer created Obama merchandise for sale, to raise money. And there are the regular auctions of “dinner with the Obamas,” and all the fancy $40,000 a plate events at the homes of the glitterati, and I guess he’s still coming up short.
But this one takes the cake. Getting married? Big wedding? Birthday? Tell your friends to skip the presents and send the money to the Obama Event Registry. Support the President on your Big Day. Can it get more tacky than this?

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), financial expert, suggests that President Obama should “just declare the debt ceiling unconstitutional.” She thinks Obama should use the 14th Amendment, which states that “The validity of the public debt of the United States…shall not be questioned.” There’s a lot that gets lost with that little ellipsis, but she wants the nasty Republicans who want spending cuts in exchange for another debt ceiling hike to stop interfering.
She also was irate about the Congressional Oversight Committee holding Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress. She denied that Operation Fast and Furious is the real cause of the investigation and contempt charge:
These very same people who are holding him in contempt are part of a nationwide scheme to suppress the vote. It is connected. It’s clear as can be. It’s not only to monopolize his time, it’s to undermine his name.
These folks want a plutocracy where instead of the choice of the many the checks of the very few determine the outcomes of elections.
Lets see. The Republicans want voters to prove they who they claim to be by showing a picture ID, which you have to show to register to vote, or to get into the Justice Department, or any other government building, or to attend Obama Rallies.
Democrats financed the “Secretary of State Project” to try to elect Democrat Secretaries of State in every state, since they were in charge of elections and counting the votes. And all those ACORN people who went to jail across the country for vote fraud sure weren’t Republicans.
This person is the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives in the United States of America. Isn’t that amazing. Vote Fraud is a real and widespread problem.
