Wind and Rain. Winter Approaches. by The Elephant's Child

Sorry about the light posting. Windstorm and power outages, disconnected. Unusual week, winter clearly approaches.

When I was growing up, we always had plenty of snow by Thanksgiving. My birthday is around Thanksgiving, and my birthday was always a sledding party. Winter in the Idaho mountains was not really a problem, because we were well prepared. We had our own plow on the jeep pickup for the times when the county didn’t get around to us promptly, which was usual. We had snowshoes. and plenty of snow shovels, and were particular about well plowed and tidy roads. It’s much worse here when it snows. Idiot city drivers.  And every road out of my neighborhood is a hill.
