The EPA Is Cleaning Up Superfund Sites, The Most Toxic Sites in the Country. by The Elephant's Child

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has cleaned up in part, or completely, seven of the most toxic Superfund sites in the U.S. in 2017. Of the seven sites designated for cleanup, three have been completely cleansed, while four others still require some work. This is a vast improvement over the prior year when the EPA completely cleaned one Superfund site.

“We have made it a priority to get these sites cleaned up faster and in the right way,” EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt said. “By creating a streamlined task force and making major remedy decisions that hold potentially responsible parties accountable for cleanup, the Superfund program is carrying out the agency’s mission of protecting human health and the environment more every day.”

These gains by the EPA are part of a list of 21 contaminated sites that need “immediate and intense attention” our of more than 1,300 Superfund sites nationwide. The Left has been heavily criticizing Pruitt for rolling back some of Obama’s environmental regulations and reducing the reach of the agency. Pruitt said he is taking more of an environmental  stewardship-focused, rather than a preventative, view of the relationship between the environment and industry. He wants to hear local voices. He said We can be about jobs and growth and still be good stewards of our environment. The last several years have been more adversarial, and there wasn’t much cleanup going on. Surely you remember the bright yellow river.

How come you’re still suspended from Twitter?
I want to post your articles there but cannot.

I am still suspended from twitter because they say I broke their rules, but will not tell me why. I THINK it is because I responded to a FOX news tweet whose headline said something about “undocumented residents”, to which I said they are not undocumented residents they are illegal aliens–and I think the illegal alien crew on Twitter mass reported me.

But I still intend to try very hard to get my account reinstated.

I DID NOT KNOW, however, that other people could not tweet articles from my blog. I know you can still do it if you cut and paste the address onto twitter, but I see that using the button tells you that account has been suspended. I will see if there is anything I can do to fix that from my end.

Thanks for letting me know!

So, the reason you haven’t been able to tweet from our blog using the tweet button, is because those tweets automatically included my @AmericnElephant twitter handle, the one they suspended, and THAT was all it took to block it. Twitter algorithms saw my handle and thought you were trying to tweet ME. So it popped up a message that I had been suspended.

I removed my handle, so you should be able to tweet as many of our posts as you want!

Thanks for letting me know, and thanks for sticking with us! 😀 ❤
