Here’s What Real Fact-Checking Looks Like by The Elephant's Child

It has become clear that a goodly percentage of the  news sources that Americans rely on have abandoned all pretense of non-partisanship. Many outlets have become so emphatically partisan that they cannot be relied on at all. For major networks and newspapers, that is a scandal, and a deep disservice to the American people. That, of course, is only partly true. Most have always been partisan to some degree. This time around, it is simply worse than usual. President Trump tweets about “fake news” and the left is outraged. How dare he!

President Trump’s 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale recently tweeted that “Over 90,000 kids were detained under Obama. And no one cared. Zero Hedge posted a Fact Check.

What followed was a barrage of angry tweets and an attempt by AP prove the claim false by conflating two narratives; the first being that Trump is putting separated migrant children in prison-like conditions – which the left quickly abandoned after it was revealed that viral photographs depicting the caged migrant children actually happened under Obama.

Zero Hedge takes us step by step through the charges and fact checking to expose exactly where the “90,000 kids detained” came from, and exactly what the reality is today in the face of AP’s flawed fact check. It’s really interesting to see the origins of claims and who is missing what, and how it all comes about, and gives the links to official figures, facts and numbers, so that you can see the information for yourself. Excellent job of real fact-checking and a demonstration of how to track stuff down. Worth your time.

Meanwhile, the Mueller investigation continues searching for something, the House and Senate committees continue to investigate the investigation, and the “Derangement Syndrome” or “Resistance” continues to be deranged and resistant. You might want to watch the panel discussion in the video below to understand just how damaging the “resistance’s” behavior is to the country, and how little they understand their own ideas and actions. And scroll on down for the excellent cartoon at the bottom.

The Border Patrol just rescued a 6 year old little boy from the side of the road left by his “coyote” in 100° heat. One would assume that most, if not all, of the “unaccompanied children” coming to the border would be teenagers, but this is not the case. What are the circumstances that would allow or pay a human smuggler to get “unaccompanied” children across the border? Homeland Security Secretary Kirsten Nielsen says the smuggling cartels make $500 million a year from bringing ‘migrants’ into the country. But a 6 year old? The fee can be as little as $150 or as much as $3,500.
