“Enemy of the People” Or Just Failing to Do Their Assigned Job. by The Elephant's Child

The removal of Jim Acosta’s Press Credential has become a very big deal for the Democrats, they have turned it into a “talking point” which they hope to use to denigrate President Trump, of course. That CNN’s Acosta behaved very badly indeed in trying to hijack a Presidential Press Conference was a disgrace. Still chafing from the suggestion that the press was not truthful and “the enemy of the people” he wanted to disagree with the President because he called the migrant caravan an “invasion,” so he took it upon himself to argue with the President and tell him that he was wrong, while hogging the press conference and the ability to ask questions.  Extraordinarily rude.

Reporters are there to ask questions of the President, and get him to clarify his answers, but not to take control of the press conference. Acosta, having had his turn, refused to turn the microphone to a White House Intern, assigned to pass it on to another reporter waiting for his turn. He didn’t choose to give it up, and there’s disagreement over whether or not he shoved her, or just yanked the microphone away. Obviously a matter of earthshaking political concern. Mr. Acosta, if he cared to investigate the opinions of many Americans, might be astonished to learn that a vast majority of the public are concerned about the extremely partisan reporting by the media, and angry about it.

They’re Not “Invaders” Quite Yet, But It’s What They Intend by The Elephant's Child

Jim Acosta tried to tell the President of the United States that he was wrong – to call the three massive caravans moving towards our Southwest Border aiming to take it by force – “Invaders” instead of the softer term “Caravans.”

About those Caravans and just what they are. On June 24, 2016, in the last year of President Obama’s administration, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson sent a 3-page memorandum to ten top  law enforcement chiefs responsible for border security. The subject line indicated the concern was about a terrorism threat at the country’s borders.

The Secretary ordered them to form a “multi-DHS Component SIA Joint Action Group to take on this new threat. The threat was SIAs or Special Interest Aliens. Migrants from Muslim-majority countries were being smuggled across our southern land border. Nothing  happened because of the election of Donald Trump, and most of the agency heads were being swept out of office by the change. There are three major Muslim majority areas considered “countries of interest.” Africa: Mauritania, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Somalia and Kenya. Middle East: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank, Syria and Turkey.  South Asia: Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Philippines and North Korea. Media reports, failing to address homeland security implications, show that Syrians and Iraqis have been reaching the Southwest Border for years with the aid of smugglers, perhaps in the number of thousands. Democrats who rail about the horrors of ICE “ripping little children from the arms of their mothers” fail to understand that it is ICE that is working hard to identify and reject those who have been smuggled to our Southern Border, to hopefully protect us from another 9/11.

The Florida Election Count by The Elephant's Child

Florida Governor Rick Scott has taken legal action against the irregular vote counting operation in two of the most liberal counties in the state. A Florida judge has ruled that Broward County has violated election laws. The elections supervisor in Broward County illegally destroyed ballots in 2016, and has remained in the same office. She has refused to release information about the number of ballots cast and how many ballots had yet to be counted. Circuit Judge Carol-Lisa Phillips found that Snipes violated state public records laws. The Judge ordered Snipes to provide that information to the Scott campaign by 7:00 p.m.

Democrats, of course, claim there is no such thing as vote fraud. Those people who vote in their winter residence in Florida as well as their home residence in another state are committing vote fraud. Illegal aliens who are not citizens are committing vote fraud if they register to vote and do so. Election supervisors who destroy ballots they don’t like are committing vote fraud. One of the first things a candidate needs to know is how many ballots were given out, how many people actually voted, and something about absentee ballots. California has been issuing voter registration with drivers’ licenses, which are issued to non-citizens.

The European press has reacted to our election about as expected. Trump is demanding that NATO members cough up their agreed-upon contribution to defense instead of failing to pay, which means that their governments have less to distribute around their own country and as favors to the press. What follows at the link are snips from the major European outlets.
