Democrats: Pot, Kettle, Etc. by The Elephant's Child

Former Representative Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) used the dreadful mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio this weekend to spread fake news today about President Donald Trump’s policies and to blame him for the killings. O’Rourke said:

These are white men, motivated by the kind of fear this president traffics in. The mosque in Victoria, Texas, was burned to the ground on the same day that President Trump signed his order [sic] attempting to ban Muslim travel to the United States of America [sic], when he says after Charlottesville that Klansman and white supremacists and neo-Nazis are “very fine people” [sic], the commander-in-chief is sending a very public signal to the rest of this country about what is permissible, and in fact even what he encourages to happen. So let’s connect the dots here on what is happening and why it is happening and who is responsible for this right now. … You don’t get mass shootings like these [sic], you don’t torch mosques, you don’t put kids in cages [sic] until you have a president who has given people permission to do that and that is exactly what is happening in the United States of America today.

Almost every word of that except ‘the’ and ‘you’ are false and Beto should be ashamed of himself for the truly stupid accusations. Jake Tapper, or course did not correct him. Democrat presidential candidate Rep.Tim Ryan (D-OH) said a manifesto railing against immigrants that was posted online just before the shooting in El Paso “could have come out of a Donald Trump Rally.” He said:

When you have the president talk about send them back and people are chanting send them back and this jackass drives ten hours to go shoot Mexicans, that’s a cultural problem the president is throwing jet fuel on making matter worse. You need laws but presidents are the cultural leaders of the country, whether you like it or not.

Mr. Ryan seems not to have noticed that the American people want no illegal immigration, and the Democrats are the ones opting for open borders and refusing to build the walls and change the asylum laws to help defray the chaos on the border.

Kamala Harris, not to be outdone, said there were consequences to President Donald Trump “sowing hate and division in our country”

This is where we also have to acknowledge that we have a president of the United States who using the microphone — which is probably one of the most powerful tools in the hand of the president of the United States, and uses that microphone that is in a way about sowing hate and division in our country, not acknowledging domestic terrorism when it occurs and in a way that’s highly irresponsible and not a reflection of the values of who we are as an American people.

But it is, of course, the president who is “sowing hate and division”, not these nice folks who are just hopeful of replacing this president with themselves. Well, it’s hard to attack his policies since we have a humming economy, record low unemployment, even more black kids have jobs than at any time in the past. The hate and division seem to be working pretty well to get the country back on track after 8 long years of an economy that couldn’t break the 2% growth rate at all.
