Because I’m just home from the hospital, and Covid is still rampant, we are having our groceries delivered rather than going to the store. So I ordered a bunch of carrots. Not a remarkable thing, lots of people eat carrots, don’t they? Carrots come in bunches of slim young carrots, seldom as much as 3/4 of an inch around at the top. My “bunch” turned out to be one carrot, the size of the femur in my left arm. My son wrote a hilarious post about it, trying to consider what to do with it, and ending with carrot steaks. I don’t know what one does with a carrot that big. I didn’t know that carrots could get that big. It’s close to 3″ around at the top.
Not sure what I will do with it. Perhaps send it back to the store manager and ask for suggestions. Funny. But I don’t appreciate having to pay for a carrot that I clearly cannot use. Carrot steaks indeed!
