Joe Biden is misreading the American public. He thought that appointing the first black woman to the Supreme Court would earn him some extra brownie points, but the majority of Americans are not supportive of affirmative action in Supreme Court nominations. That should not be surprising. There are lots of comments on this idea. Joe Biden has spent something like 27 years in Congress, and somehow not learned very much about the American people. He thought the people would be supportive of lots of immigration (legal and illegal) from Caribbean countries. He thought basing nominations on race and gender would make him popular. Not working at all.
Illegal border crossers are being put promptly on planes to take them to areas where, when they become citizens, their votes for the Democrats who let them in, might switch the political scene to a more favorable Democratic bias.
The American people want an outstanding judge with an outstanding legal mind appointed to the Supreme Court vacancy. Neither Race nor Gender should have anything to do with it. We would prefer that nominations are based on real qualifications. That shouldn’t be hard to understand.
It’s getting remarkably weird out there. People are alarmed about inflation, which doesn’t seem to bother the federal government at all. Everybody’s striking over “mandates” but often different ones. Nobody is explaining anything very well, and nobody seems to know what they are talking about. Lots of talk about “supply chains” but has that raft of ships sitting off the California coast been unloaded? There is apparently a major labor shortage. Canadian truckers are protesting mandates. Climate protesters don’t seem to know what creates our climate and how. Grocery shelves are empty or overpriced. Strange strange times.

The bigger issue is now there is an alternative to GoFundMe. The response to intolerance is tolerance via competition.

The Department of Homeland Security’s latest terrorism threat bulletin includes a warning against “the proliferation of false or misleading narratives, which sow discord or undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions.”
The bulletin, issued Monday and in effect until at least June 7, blamed an “online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis-, dis- and mal-information introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors.
“These threat actors seek to exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions to encourage unrest, which could potentially inspire acts of violence,” DHS went on. “Mass casualty attacks and other acts of targeted violence conducted by lone offenders and small groups acting in furtherance of ideological beliefs and/or personal grievances pose an ongoing threat to the nation.”

Anyone who disagrees with the official line is a threat. The moment to start yelling using every form of communication has come. Shame them, shame them now, or we all will be subjected to the Struggle Sessions.
