I listened to the State of the Union address, and wish I hadn’t. I had hoped early on that I could get Americans to send a copy of Henry Hazlitt’s Economics in One Lesson to the White House in lieu of a trucker convoy, but a little investigations showed there weren’t enough copies available to make the kind of impression hoped for.
He remains clueless about inflation, and it’s causes. Wants to fix the Central American countries that he invited in so they will stay home, cure cancer and diabetes, take care of our veterans, and do all sorts of nice things for everybody. I didn’t hear any mention of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, but perhaps I just missed that. Sign me up with Victor Davis Hanson. Biden is the most dangerously radical president in American history, and things are going to get a lot worse before they get any better.
He has no idea that his shutting down the XL Pipeline had some bad consequences, No idea that inviting Central America to invade our southern borders could have caused harm No mention, of course of inflation. He’s just going to provide all young mothers with free child care. Stop big pharmaceutical companies from making a profit unjustly. Did want to support the police. He apparently thinks he has done a marvelous job so far. But then he has appointed John Kerry as his “climate czar” and I wouldn’t trust John Kerry to walk my dog.
A remarkable amount of our current problems are driven by the mistaken impression of a climate crisis.The climate of the earth is controlled by the action of our sun, not by the CO2 in the atmosphere. CO2 is not a poison gas, but a natural fertilizer for plants. Nurseries pump extra CO2 into their greenhouses to increase plant health and growth. It does not produce non-existent “global warming” No real understanding of economics nor inflation. He is reportedly enraged by the “I did that” stickers appearing on gas pumps across the country with no understanding of why people put them up.
Have to see if I can find a copy of the text of the speech. No applause from me.
