We mostly have no idea how much of our “information” relies on basic misunderstandings. First of all, there is Carbon Dioxide (CO2). There has been a slight increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. OMG ! This is the origin of most of today’s “Climate Crisis”. Suddenly it is not just normal seasonal weather but an indication of the probability of upcoming disaster. And certainly we all have to switch to electric cars immediately. Is there simply a segment of the population that has a large fearful button, and panics easily? Well, yes, I believe there is. Or are we just addressing those with an agenda?
The excuse for all this is a slight increase in the amount of CO2, carbon dioxide, in the atmosphere. Why this amounted to a worldwide panic is a mystery not completely yet solved. There is an agenda.
Carbon Dioxide is NOT something bad. It’s actually plant food, and an slight increase in the atmosphere means bountiful crops. There was an increase of CO2 in the atmosphere, and while we were dealing with Afghanistan, Australia was writing up their wonderful crops for the world’s newspapers. Even Afghanistan, in the midst of wars and crisis, had unusually bountiful crops, but being rather busy with other things, nobody actually noticed.
The climate of the Earth is controlled by the action of our sun. It is not controlled by the emanations from our automobile exhausts. We have had major experiments with wind energy and solar energy because we were fearful of what our auto exhausts might be doing. What we discovered after billions of dollars of experiments is that wind and solar cannot reliably supply the power our society requires. Can’t. Look up Solyndra, which was one of our many failed experiments with control of things that we cannot control. Or for that matter, look up Christiana Figueres, who called a press conference just after a Davos meeting to explain to the press that the goal was ridding the earth of Capitalism. So things are not quite always what they seem, and panics are common and seldom what they thought. Maintain calm, and look for the reality behind the panic. We have, i believe, sent an investigating robot into the corona of the sun to see what more we can learn.
Panic is seldom useful, with the obvious exceptions, crowded theater and all that. As a spur to investigation, of course. but do a bit of fact-finding first. Unfortunately we too often do not.
