Smoky off in the distance from my 2nd story window, looking off to the South. Clouds on the horizon, but blue skies otherwise. A little smoky on the horizon, but not significantly so. Basically, another nice ordinary day.The population of the Seattle metropolitan area is supposed to be 7.37.o2 million, scattered in a lot of suburbs around Puget Sound (salt water) and a couple of major lakes (fresh water) and some goof sized islands Isn’t there a song about blue skies in Seattle? The blue skies may prompt a major song, but they are not particularly impressive. A major range of mountains separates the Seattle area from the rest of the state. I prefer Idaho, but am stuck here.
I don’t have much of an idea of how much people move around from one state to another in this country. Over a lifetime, I was born in Idaho and grew up there, lived in Portland during the war, then Washington, California, Arizona, and back to California then Washington again. If I had a choice, I would live in Idaho. Better governance, better climate, nicer mountains. nicer lakes.
