American Elephants

Sometimes They Call It The Silly Season; They May Be Right! by The Elephant's Child

The Obama campaign has gone into full meltdown mode over the national reaction to the president’s “You didn’t build that” speech in Roanoke Virginia.  The Romney campaign justifiably jumped on the president’s remarks, and did many others:

The Obama campaign quickly put out  a video ad that edited Obama’s own speech in an attempt to refute the very effective Romney ad, to suggest that Romney was ‘misquoting’ Obama. If you quote the president accurately, that’s a false attack!

But that didn’t work because the unedited speech by the president was already out there, and even worse, an excellent Scott Brown commercial included not only Obama’s speech, but Elizabeth Warren’s rant as well. Scott Brown’s “Let America be America Again”commercial is posted below. Now Obama has responded again. You’re just taking me out of context, I love small business,  and they build their businesses, and I love you and quit dissing me because of what I said before, what I mean is “we’re all in this together”

Sometimes politics is just fun to watch.Obama throws himself and Elizabeth Warren Under the bus.  No, Mr. President, we’re free people and we believe in the free market and individual initiative, and want government to leave us alone to get on with life. Stop with the regulation, and stop spending. We don’t need another year of trillion dollar debt.

And, by the way, why do you have such an obsession with “roads and bridges?” Roads and bridges are usually the business of states and counties, who build them and maintain them — not the federal government.

Hee, hee, hee.
