As I said in my review of Sleepy Hollow, nobody “gets” Halloween like director Tim Burton. He illustrates that again with The Nightmare Before Christmas in which he asks and answers the monstrously mischevious question, “who would win in a title bout between Halloween and Christmas?” (You’ll have to watch the movie to find out the answer.)
He gets spooky, he gets scary, he gets morbid, monsters and macabre. But most importantly, he gets the fun!
In The Nightmare Before Christmas, gorgeous, ground-breaking stop-motion animation and appropriately haunting melodies bring Burton’s deliciously deranged vision to life.
Rated PG for some scary imagery.
