I natter on frequently about the climate. It is because so much legislation, so much false information and so many societal happenings are happening because of false beliefs and false information about the climate. The price of gas at the pump, is directly related to belief in a nonexistent climate crisis. The push for electric cars, which nobody wants, roads and traffic, truck driver protests, food transportation and a scarce food crisis, All sorts of policy decisions. Joe Biden killed the XL Pipeline because of climate, His decisions on the border are related to climate, electric cars, buses and trucks, the entire U.S. transportation system, and it goes on and on.
The climate of the earth is controlled by the action of our sun. And the sun seems to be just fine, with occasional sun spots, and goes on benignly shining down on us. Earth’s temperatures were up to 4 degrees warmer during the HOLOCENE optimum: 9000 – 5000 years ago. which was supposed to be our best weather ever.
We get into these flaps fairly regularly. I’m not sure that adding a venue like Twitter has been a good thing. People respond to and natter on about the oddity of the moment, and sometimes it gets out of control and becomes undeservedly front and center in the general conversation. Another one is suddenly “Gender“. You are no longer stuck with what the doctor said when he delivered you, but you can change to suit your present circumstances or choices. Well, no you can’t. But that’s where we are at the moment.. and it is not only causing all sorts of problems, it’s patent nonsense. “Lia” Thomas couldn’t win the trophies he wanted as a man, co he tried to win them as a woman. You can change your appearance, have plastic surgery to fix things, but you are still what the doctor said you were when he delivered you.
Reports of people walking into a store, filling up shopping bags and walking out without bothering to pay, have spawned a proliferation of such events. Reports of our “open borders” have people from all over the world coming to our Southern borders to walk across. American residence and apparently eventually citizenship are up for grabs. American citizenship nothing special, just walk across the border. We’re now supplying lawyers and housing.
I don’t understand the sudden desire to welcome illegal aliens. We read nearly daily, in the news, of some American citizen being killed by an illegal alien. There is a perfectly legal way to come to the United States and potentially become a new citizen. Why can’t we demand that those who want to come to the U.S. follow the rules? Isn’t that what rules are for?
