It’s more than a little confusing out there. There was a school shooting in Uvalde. Texas. Much confusion about whether or not the police acted promptly enough and properly enough. Ban guns? Let the teachers carry? Kids used to carry guns in their cars. Most effective, a border patrol officer who rushed up from the border to help.
Shooter apparently shot his grandmother before shooting up the school. Crystal clear, is it not? One girl, lying on the floor, scooped up blood from someone nearby who was shot and smeared it on herself so she would look dead. Too many reporters trying to find out what is actually happening and having a hard time of it. Why would anyone shoot up a school anyway? No answers.
Shooting kids somehow seems way worse than shooting adults. Shooting up a school, multiple kids makes no sense whatsoever. Heinous. One must grieve for the parents who just send their kids off for another normal day at school, and their whole world is destroyed. There are lots of adults out there who richly deserve being shot, but school kids? Do our movies and T.V. stories suggest such actions somehow? We do lot’s of violent stories, but I don’t think there has ever been one about shooting up a school, or shooting a lot of kids. It’s very hard to understand where this is coming from. And how to keep it from happening again, ever.

A teacher propped the exterior door and not talked about is the fact the classroom door was not locked either which the shooter locked to keep the police at bay. They had a drill 2 months prior.
