So far in the new U.S. fiscal year, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have encouraged illegal aliens to the extent that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials  have apprehended nearly 9,000 ‘migrants’ — and those are just the ones that were caught. Border Patrol has transported 2,224 of the migrants to local hospitals.

On January 15, Border Patrol agents arrested a group of 247 illegals. At least 50 of them required immediate medical attention from a hospital. This bunch crossed in an extremely remote area of the border.

Illegal immigration at the border for December 2018 increased by 81% compared to December 2017. The number of adults traveling to the border with children has increased by 280%.  DHS says that 22 thousand minors ‘illegally crossed” the border in December. They are told that children will increase their chances for amnesty. The children may or may not be part of the family. There are significant numbers of unaccompanied children, I assume teen-agers. There have been about 53 large groups crossing the border since October 2018.

In 2012 President Obama created a program called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals – DACA. It granted work permits, identity documents, and relief from deportation to approximately 800,000 illegal immigrants who arrived as youths. The most obvious problem with DACA is that it is illegal. President Obama effectively rewrote immigration law. Here’s Obama’s statement about a year before he actually instituted DACA.

With respect to the notion that I can just suspend deportations through executive order, that’s just not the case, because there are laws on the books that Congress has passed. … The executive branch’s job is to enforce and implement those laws. … There are enough laws on the books by Congress that are very clear in terms of how we have to enforce our immigration system that for me to simply through executive order ignore those congressional mandates would not conform with my appropriate role as President.

DACA applies to individuals up to the age of 38 this year. Many have long since ended their studies and committed multiple felonies. Over 1,500 have had their DACA status revoked since 2012 due to their involvement with criminal gangs.

Individuals who get across the border often go directly to a Border Patrol officer to request asylum. They get a trial date when they are to appear for court, and are set free. 43 percent of aliens free pending trial failed to appear for court. Deportation orders for failing to appear in court exceed deportation orders from cases that were actually tried by 306 percent. 49 percent of unaccompanied children failed to appear in U.S. immigration courts in 2017. Democrats won’t talk even after Trump offered extended legal status for “Dreamers”. Documents reveal that the Obama administration “misrepresented” the number of serious crimes committed by illegal aliens. The number of crimes is close to 10 times the number that the administration gave to Congress. Congress and President Trump have been negotiating for over a year over border-wall funding and the DACA program.

The Daily Wire has posted a video of over 110 migrants scaling the border wall with the help of a smuggler with a ladder, in the Yuma sector.They were arrested on Monday. During the period until February 15 allowed for negotiations with the Democrats, the Border Patrol estimates that another 30,000 will attempt to cross the border. If you wonder why Democrats and their allies in the media are always claiming that voter fraud is “actually very rare” or statistically non-existent, it ‘s because they really don’t want the facts to be known. State election officials in Texas have uncovered a huge 95,000 illegal voter registrations from non-citizens, and more than half of them 58,000 actually casting ballots. in one or more elections since 1996.

Last fiscal year, the 65,000 annual limit on non-immigrant temporary worker (H-1B) visas was reached for the first time, and is likely to be repeated this year. The technology industry is pushing for Congress to double the 65,000 limit by increasing the ceiling by 20 percent per year for the next three years. Is this is the national interest? FAIR says the increase is not based on need, and not in the national interest. Seems to be based on cheaper workers.

We don’t really know how many illegal aliens are in the country. The 11,000 number has been around for years and never seems to change. A recent report upped it to 22,000, but the Center for Immigration Studies says that is very unlikely.

The Democrats, officially represented by Nancy Pelosi and Charles Schumer, are completely opposed to any wall or barrier or limits. They supposedly want open borders. The House and Senate’s Democratic leaders have refused to hear the testimony of the Gold Star moms who have lost family members to criminal illegal aliens. Officially, the Democrats want open borders, sanctuary cities and states, lots of illegals voting for Democrats, and citizenship for the 800,000 DACA recipients. But then neither Pelosi not Schumer have ever had any personal experience caused by the problems of open borders.
