Democrats in the State of the Union Speech hissed when the President spoke about seven million Americans coming off of Food Stamps. Did the Democrats assume that the President was denying free food to the poor? What were they thinking?
It is a triumph when people no longer need government help to eat. People want to be responsible for themselves, to earn an honest living, and to have a job. It may not be the world’s best job, but they are standing up and supporting themselves and their families.
I guess to a political party that looks to succeed by buying votes, by giving away goodies, that is hard to understand. Perhaps that has something to do with the failure of Democrat run cities and states. They look at Republicans as ignorant hicks, and don’t understand the first thing about ordinary humanity, or how to govern.
