He is at the University of Alabama at Huntsville, and runs the satellites that measure the earth’s atmospheric temperatures for NASA, with John Christie PhD who measures the earth’s atmospheric temperatures with weather balloons. They have received NASA’s Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal for their global temperature monitoring work with satellites. Dr. Spencer is officially the U.S. Science Team Leader for the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer flying on NASA’s Aqua satellite, and has testified several times before Congress on the subject of global warming.

All sorts of good stuff at his website, you might start with “Global Warming for Dummies” and go on from there. He has a simple climate model, his own blog, and makes a major effort to explain the problems without getting too technical for us.

It’s not really a remote something off in the bowels of Washington D.C.. It’s policy battles that will affect the way you live in the future, and you’d better become knowledgeable.They are not. They are using the public’s ignorance to scare them into policies that will allow them to change the way you work and live, in ways they are more inclined to believe in. Neither socialism nor communism promise anything for any American. It takes a very warped mind to fail to understand why so many people just want to get into this country and become part of it’s freedoms.
